Question for you - What are you avoiding?
I feel like I’ve been spending a lot of time writing about “starting” in this newsletter.
Starting “sucks”
Setting a Deadline.
Focusing.
Trusting the process.
The “reboot”.
When I started this thing… I didn’t have a plan. I knew I just needed to start writing and sharing.
I needed to start “getting my words out”.
It’s not at all what I thought it would be.
I was going to take a more comedic approach. Introduce characters that have been living in my brain, satire, not being too serious etc…
Instead, I find myself sounding more like Tony Robbins or another Instagram “Self-Help” guru.
I guess… for now… I’m using this platform to share what I’m learning in real time, as I’m making changes.
I’m sharing “my process”.
It’s HARD.
Changing habits is HARD.
Changing routine is HARD.
Changing the people I spend time with is HARD.
This past week, I finally tackled a few things that’s been hanging over my head for awhile.
Cash Flow
New Business Direction
I’m not sure which felt better: Putting these two things under the DONE column or having a plan for each.
Side note: I’ve played with a bunch of productivity tools. The old Cork Board works like a charm. Something great about physically seeing what I need to do and then physically moving them to another column.
After finally making a decision on the New Biz - I find myself almost immediately swamped with work and heading to a Trade Show next week.
Funny, how that works.
And with the cash flow plan… I find myself clear and directed.
I don’t know how it’s all going to work out, I just know what I need to focus on each month and how much $ Poppa Bear needs to bring in.
Clarity is key.
Facing reality is key.
Ripping the band-aid off is key.
Write down what you’ve been avoiding, come up with a plan, talk to someone you trust (if you want) and knock it the fuck out!
Big ups!
